Fit Kids has been cancelled for Today, Wednesday Nov. 16th! We look forward to having fun and being active with everyone Next Wednesday, November 23rd at 5:30 PM!


Fall Throwdown Reminders

The big day is TOMORROW! We can’t wait to see you all for the Fall Throwdown. Here’s a few things to remember:

  1. Competitiors please bring your $15 and have ready when you sign in
  2. Scaled Athletes being promptly at 9am, RX Athletes at 1pm
  3. Lululemon will be on-site from 9am-1pm with all kinds of goodies. If you are volunteering please arrive around 730/745am, pre-sale begins once set-up is complete.
  4. Beyond Yourself supplements will be on-site giving out free protein shakes, BCAA’s and more. Remember to bring your own shaker.



Every Thursday at 6:45pm. Starts Thursday OCT 20th. Regular classes are still in effect.
Coach Alex will be taking you through progressive barbell training to perfect you lifting technique and skills. With over 8 years of weightlifting experience, snatches 310LBS, Clean and Jerks 385LBs, while doing crossfit, he has a lot to offer.
Programing for our new BB CLUB will be a progressive program to follow that will focus on different phases of lifting such as speed, first 3 pulls, timing, and balance.
This class is free to all Crossfit Side members and will be at a drop in rate for all non-members!! Lets get lifting!

Hey guys, grab your tickets for this years Reebok CrossFit Invitational.  We can all travel down as a group to watch some of the best athletes in the world compete head to head.

Sunday FUNday Update:
We’ve made some changes to our Sunday morning offerings. The 9am class will focus on lifting technique and the 10am class will be metcon/conditioning based. We look forward to seeing you all check out this new format on Sunday mornings. Effective Aug 28th.

Open Gym Hours:
The CrossFit SIDE is proud to offer the most open gym hours in the tri-city!
Monday-Thursday 545am-1pm | 430pm-830pm
Friday 545am-1pm | 430pm-730pm
Saturday 930am-1030am | Sunday 9am-11am

Just a friendly reminder that the Kids World hours are Monday -Friday 9am-1pm/4pm-8pm and Saturday-Sunday 9am-1pm. Any Children that stay beyond the hours will be charged $1.00 per a minute as outlined in the original waiver signed for KidsWorld. Children are not permitted on the World Gym floor and/or in the CrossFit SIDE for insurance reasons (Wednesday 530pm FitKIDS is an exemption). Receipt of payment will be handed to Kid’s World Staff. We thank you for your understanding and attention to this matter.

A Note From Coach Polsky: The Importance of Scaling

This is a great read, and very accurate. This may come as an eye opener for some. Scaling is nothing to be ashamed of. No matter what exercise you do, height you decide, weight you lift, range of motion you move… scaling is done for a reason. To be safe, efficient, and make you better! Let coaches help you decide on these adjustments and trust their experience, as they were once in your shoes.
Remember that CrossFit is so diverse that it may take time to advance in certain areas. Be patient, be smart, and listen to your coaches. Form is key to getting better. If we push ourselves too much when we aren’t ready, we may set ourselves back due to injury or bad habits. Better safe than sorry. There are times and places to push yourselves! Be smart, stay healthy, and keep grinding!
